a REEL Job

I recently did a bunch of voiceover work for an e-learning campaign and figured it’s about time I put my voice reel together and start sharing and reaping the fruit thereof. I used to do a lot of voiceover work in radio as well as audio production for brands like Coca Cola, BP, ABSA and loads of others. In fact I think you may still hear my voice welcoming you as you board an Intercape bus.
Check out my reel, fittingly called A Reel Job and let me know what you think. In it you’ll find a bunch of different examples of how my voice and production style can match and capture the feeling of different audio scenarios and different character voices, from e-learning to audio books to commercials to documentaries. Have a listen. All of it was recorded at my home studio which can render voiceover recording, editing and music production for an affordable price.
I also have to give a mad shout out to Jason Skippers of The Stellar Effect who came alongside me to contribute his glossy music to the soft commercials, documentary, telephone prompt and e-learning samples. Hit reply for a quote.

What it means to be a Fruit Vendor

IMG-20170713-WA0002“A Fruit Vendor is anyone who is doing what they do, doing it well, doing what they do with passion and then vending it…”
Kelly KiKx is releasing a series of videos out of the interview she did with me for The That Show. Since so many people ask me what the name Fruit Vendor means, I give it a fairly simple explanation in the video. Have a look and tell me what you think.
If you want to listen to the song I wrote that inspired the name, you can listen to it here.
Apart from vlogging, Kelly KiKx is a professional dancer and film actress who has had roles in the Hollywood films House Party 5, Honey 3 and Bring It On: Worldwide Cheersmack. She also runs a video production company called KiKx Cinematix and contributed her videography to my live videos Real Job and Man in the Mascot SuitBook her for your video requirements.

Giants EP Launch Promo #2: Massive, Groundbreaking, Too Dope

Ep Launch Flyer Design6 Days ’til the Giants EP Launch! Take 1 minute to watch the band talk about how gevaarlik the show is gonna be! Terms like “groundbreaking”, “massive” and “too dope for words” get thrown around loosely, but you should make up your own mind about it on Saturday night. Tickets are still available from me or any of the band, don’t miss out – to use my own rather questionable term, this is gonna POMP!

Also, big congratulations to the winners of the Awesome South Africa mobile app competition I ran over the weekend. And the tickets go to…(drumroll please)…

NaMa Xam and René Willis!

Excited to see you guys sharing the fruit with us this weekend.

Your Invite to the Giants EP Launch + Vid Promo

Ep Launch Flyer DesignWith just 18 days until the Giants EP Launch, the drive to get tickets sold and get feet through the door is upon us. I’ve been saving a lot of video marketing collateral for just such an occasion, so expect to see a lot of content coming your way.

This Saturday past, award winning illustrator Roger Williams (State of the Art Illustration) and I created a wall art mural to augment the Giants EP experience from not only a sonic one, but to a visual one as well! Somewhere between sweating our butts off and getting high off of spray-paint fumes, we shot the promo clip you’re about to see. What do you think of my latent TV presenting skills?
